I woke up in some sort of forest, next to a river. I checked my watch to see five hours had passed since the incident. I can't stop thinking about that spectacle. Buildings collapsed and cars were on fire... Those who died. So many screams that repeatedly burn my memory. My family is most likely dead. My friends are likely dead. In the distance, I saw the city crumbling. Buildings still fall, highways still collapse, some helicopters are still in the air, watching everything with understandable horror. I began to travel through the woods and felt chills. But it was not fear. It felt like my body was being influenced by something. I searched some rubble in what was once a house and got my hands on a Geiger counter under a fallen roof. I kept walking through the forest, and the birds were crowing from side to side. After walking a few minutes, I saw a group of emergency service vehicles in a hurry.
And that's when I put my eyes on the old mall. Curiously, I slowly walked toward it and found that there were survivors who had set up inside the mall. But something was off. Very off.
